Fish oil is the purified oil extracted from oily fish ours is mainly from sardines and mackerel.
We offer 2 types of this product:
- Food grade: supplements for human consumption, subject to RBDW processes.
- Feed grade: additive for animal and aquaculture feed to enhance the feed properties (palatability, digestibility and binding capacity etc...).
The oil is rich in omega-3s (around 30%) and contains a non-trivial amount of vitamins A & D. And has many recognized health benefits such as reducing many risk factors of heart disease and preventing the onset of some mental conditions or improve mental health among other benefits.
The main types of omega-3s in fish oil are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which are different from alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) mainly found in plants.
Fish oil omega-3 help balance omega-6 that are prevalent in plant based oils and diets.
